Aces and After School
Staying Cool After School

Did you know that your child could be receiving two hours a day of additional academic, social, physically active programming?
Through our After School Program your child would spend time in recreational and enrichment activities as well receive homework assistance and academic reinforcement.  The After School Program is offered October 6, 2008 through May 14, 2009. The program runs Monday - Thursday from 3:45 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. All students who are A.M. bus riders will be provided bus transportation home (Monday - Thursday) after the program.

Our After School Program is made up of three components including Athlete’s Committed to Educating Students (A.C.E.S.), Area Learning Centers (ALC), and the 21st Century Learning Centers. Each component offers a variety of homework assistants, physical activity, and enrichment opportunities.

ALC - After School
ALC is held Mondays and Wednesdays, students focus on additional academic classes provided by a licensed teacher. On Tuesdays and Thursdays students participate in recreation and enrichment opportunities of their choice including dance, art, physical activity, technology, or cooking.

A.C.E.S.
A.C.E.S. is also offered on Monday through Thursday. A.C.E.S. is an after-school tutoring/mentoring program for grades 4-8, which partners with Minnesota’s professional sports teams. The program utilizes unique curriculum units and structured activities to promote education and responsible life choices that are healthy for the students and the environment.
